When English five-piece The Horrors first emerged in 2006, they were regarded as something between a goth buzz band and a roaming gang of rogue hipster haircuts, to the point where they made a self-deprecating appearance on The Mighty Boosh as a band competing with the star to fit into skinnier and skinnier jeans. On their second album Primary Colours however, they showed a blossoming range and style, and since then they’ve evolved into one of the most musically literate bands around. Their fifth album V sees them sounding bigger than ever, and it’s out now.
