Even if SoundCloud eventually does what it’s been threatening to do for its entire existence and explode spectacular into bankruptcy, it can always console itself with the fact that if it wasn’t for its wonky copyright algorithm, Pomona Dream wouldn’t exist. Singer Sandra Bang and producer Ribbs met when the site’s plagiarism bot accused them of ripping off each other’s music. They then got together and formed Pomona Dream, released the Rainbow Milk EP in 2016 and haven’t looked back since. Pomona’s speciality is neon-draped, loose electro, smoothly blending influences from abstract jazz to woozy funk. After spending a while in LA, they’re playing their first Stockholm show in a long time on Friday, with a live set at Tak. Entrance is free.
