Wolf Alice are a tribute to giving a band time to grow. When they broke through in 2013, they clearly had talent, but occasionally could sound a bit flimsy, not quite sure what kind of band they wanted to be. They took a couple of years though, and by the time of their debut album My Love Is Cool in 2015 things had snapped into place. Now they’re one of the UK’s few indie bands with any kind of power in terms of sales and public presence (only Shania Twain kept them from a chart number one album this year), and their new album Visions Of A Life is a mix of high-octane rock and sweeping, lush indie pop.
