Keith Haring was an iconic New York pop artist, who initially came to prominence through sketching on the walls of the NY subway. Shortly before his death, he set up the Keith Haring Foundation, an organisation that through the licensing of Haring’s work provides funding to AIDS/HIV research and education efforts and supports arts programmes. And now the Foundation and clothing brand Happy Socks have come together for a new collection.
Pitched towards Valentine’s Day, the collection transplants some of Haring’s iconic bold, colourful works onto, well, socks. It consists of three different sock pairs, men and women’s underwear and collector’s edition boxes. It’s available now from Happy Socks’ boutiques, usual retailers and happysocks.com
