Nicole Sabouné’s new album, Miman, is a remarkably heavy creature. While her previous outing, 2014’s Must Exist showed off her talent for dark atmospherics, it’s quite a distance away for the sheer crushing weight she invests in the songs on Miman. It’s a record loaded with powerful, pounding drums and driving, droning guitars, which combine with Sabouné’s authoritative vocals to create music loaded with gravity and strength. That album is out today on Woah Dad! Records, and you can celebrate by checking out her gig at Debaser Medis.
