Weekend

FILM: STOP MAKING SENSE
Cinemateket have been showing a Jonathan Demme retrospective recently, and this weekend they come to one of his most famous works – his Talking Heads ‘concert-film’ Stop Making Sense. Probably one of the most innovative live music films ever made, it’s a must see for anyone with any interest in Talking Heads.

Mar 25, 18:00-21:00, Filmhuset – Bio Victor

GIG: TELLA VIV
Toppar & Dalar are the indie DJ trio who’ve been much in demand over the past year, and now they’ve gotten a club night at Södran. On Friday they’ve booked in indie-rock four-piece Tella Viv, whose last recorded outing was their four-track, high-octane-rock EP From The Cradle To The Kitchen Sink. They’ve got another on the way this summer, so get a preview of that with this live show.

Mar 23, 21:00-03:00, Södra Teatern

BEER: MIKKELLER
Danish craft beer brand Mikkeller opened their first bar in Stockholm exactly a year ago, and they’re throwing a party to celebrate. Special beers on tap and food available, along with other surprises.
Mar 24, 13:00-00:00, Mikkeller Sthlm

CLUBBING: UNDER BRON
People who are pretty confident about their ability to club for long periods of time should head to Under Bron this weekend, where techno duo Sthlm Murder Girls are running a seven-hour set downstairs. Upstairs are MeiYào, Nedalot and Camilla Almqvist Terán, with Nils Einar in the nature bar.

Mar 24, 22:00-05:00, Under Bron

GAMING: STOCKHOLMS SPELMUSEUM
Stockholm’s Spelmuseum’s special theme for these weekend is the cute heroes of video games, starring Kirby, Pikachu and more. They’ll have special games available to play, competitions and more.
Mar 24-25, 10:00-16:00, Stockholms Spelmuseum
