The Japanese retail outlet MUJI, which specialises slickly-designed clothing and household items, has been present at Åhléns for a while now. But now the brand is stepping things up a notch in terms of ambition, taking over the fourth floor at Åhléns City for what will become their biggest store in Europe when they open a flagship store in Stockholm in August.
MUJI has around 900 stores worldwide, and the flagship store will retail their entire range, from jeans to furniture. “We have previously had a little shop-in-shop with selected MUJI products at Åhléns City that has always been popular. But with our new flagship store, we believe we can help more Swedes to live a comfortable life with the help of our simple and universal products”, says Ino Ryosuke, CEO at MUJI Sweden.
The new boutique will cover 1216m2, and is currently set to open on August 16.
