Swedish Art Now!

With a stated aim to make Swedish contemporary art available and visible to all, the exhibition Swedish Art: Now! is a comprehensive collection and presentation of some of the most relevant names among the new generation of artists that have established themselves over the last five years.

Behind the initiative are Michael Elmenbeck, founder of Bon Magazine and writer and artist Oscar Carlson. Elmenbeck explains it further. “Swedish Art: Now! wants to visualise and emphasize what and who make up the Swedish contemporary art scene, but also to pose the question about how Swedish contemporary art relate to creative expressions like design, fashion, technology and food. Does a Swedish art wonder exist? What is its platform?”

Swedish Art: Now! is on display at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum until June 6.
