“In the name of love”, as the song goes, Stockholm’s Pride festival just keeps on growing. The last week of July sees this year’s instalment that comes with the subtitle ”Who decides?”
As well as a party, the theme opens up for discussion with questions relating to who’s in charge of our bodies, our city, our society and our politics as a starting point.
The numerous pride festivals that have sprung up around Europe are all unique and the Stockholm version has garnered a great reputation and causes quite a stir around the city every year.
Last July an estimated 40,000 people took part in the parade that had 400,000 more lining the streets watching the spectacle.
