Fashion and design brand Sandqvist opened up their first-ever store on Södermalm way back in 2011. And now, eight years later, they’re returning to Södermalm to open a second boutique on the island, their fifth in Stockholm overall.
It’s opening at Götgatan 28, the former premises of Ittala, and will stretch to around 60 m2. Sebastian Westin of Sandqvist says “This is yet another way for us to come closer to our customers, and get more visibility in the place we thrive best. Söder is our current home, and this is where a big part of the brand’s history is. Our first bag, boutique and head office all started here. We want to further establish ourselves in the area, and become more available in the city’s most creative area. On Söder, hearts beat especially strongly for culture, art, fashion and design, in an area that’s constantly developing, and where it’s not at all difficult to find inspiring environments and personalities”.
The new store opens on Thursday, October 17. sandqvist.com
