The French-Swedish singer/songwriter known as Sibille Attar has risen to some commercial fame lately with her song “Come Night”. Due to its commercial character, “Come Night” has been continually played an almost unbelievable amount of times on Swedish radio daily. One may argue that the song is one of her only that has that commercial sound. “Julian! I Want To Be A Dancer!” is a bit more complicated, if you will, with its low-tempo bass & drums, which together with Attar’s lovely Björk-esque voice compile a quite interesting track.

Born in the town of Örebro in 1981, Attar moved to Stockholm in her teens with a passion for music brewing. Contributing with her musical skills in many different projects, like Little Red Corvette and [ingenting], it wasn’t until 2012 she released the EP The Flower’s Bed on Stranded Rekords. The self-produced EP earned her a Swedish Grammy nomination in the “Newcomer of the Year” category, and in February 2013 she released the album “Sleepyhead”.

The Swedish television music magazine PSL has been a long-time supporter of Attar, claiming that she will be the one changing rock n’ roll history. The broken characters of her songs and the majestic, lonesome pianos and strings are enough to set many hearts in motion. Let’s see if she can live up to the expectations on Friday at Debaser Medis…
