The spirit of sisterhood stirred up by #metoo is only getting stronger. Kvinnojouren Huddinge (The Huddinge Women’s Shelter) was affected by fire recently, and Sweden’s female comedians have come together to pitch in with help. Ami Hallberg Pauli and Malin Appeltofft have brought together some of Sweden’s best comics for a humour gala at Södra Teatern, with the profits going to Kvinnojouren Huddinge.

The line-up for the event is Ami Hallberg Pauli, Anna-Lena Brundin, Birgita Klepke, Cissi Wallin, Clara Henry, Elin Almén, Elina du Rietz, Kina Larsson, Lill Marit Bugge, Malin Appeltofft, Zinat Pirzadeh (and music from the band KNASH). Hallberg Pauli and Appeltofft say “We want to highlight women who take their place through being funny, while at the same time helping women who are trapped in their lives by violence and abuse”.

The gala takes place on Södra Teatern’s Stora scen on Saturday, April 28.
