This week marks the start of Stockholm International Film Festival, and you can find out a lot more about that in our feature here. But one of the festival’s highlights is coming in icy form to Kungsträdsgården this weekend. In collaboration with the famous Icehotel, they’re bringing the inverse of their annual Sommarbio, the Vinterbio, to the park on Saturday and Sunday. With a film screen made from ice from the Torne River in the far north, they’ll be showing Martin Scorcese’s After Hours (which stars the festival’s 2019 special guest, Rosanna Arquette) and Henry Sellick’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s guaranteed to be a magical experience, so it’s worth packing some warm drinks and heading on down.
