Stockholms feministiska filmfestival runs for four days this weekend, with a programme that opens on Thursday and wraps up on Sunday. Across those four days there’ll be wide variety of talks and masterclasses at the festival’s various venues, with conversation topics like “Det kvinnliga geniet -Finns det plats för en kvinnlig Bergman?” (The Female Genius – Is There A Place For A Female Bergman?). There will also be, obviously, a huge amount of film, with European, Scandinavian, Swedish and Stockholm premieres for films from Canada, France, China and more.
The festival opens tonight at Biograf Rigoletto with a speech from culture minister Alice Bah Kuhnke, the awarding of the film grant the Anna-priset, and with Greta Gerwig’s Oscar-winning film Lady Bird, starring Saoirse Ronan. Doors open at 17:30.
