Ronde
This simple, modern interpretation of a classic 1970’s pendant lamp, by designer Oliver Shick, is made of lightweight aluminium and is available in several different colours. The matte surface gives a visual impression of ceramics, and in the colour shown, the designer’s intentions of soft and round shapes reminiscent of medieval amphorae really comes to life. The small size makes ‘Ronde’ a versatile addition to any décor.

Big Bubble
Part of the ‘Dancing Dune’ collection (pictured) by Göteborg-based Anna Elzer Oscarsson, the round, 3D-printed ‘Big Bubble’ ceramics vase is made in Linköping. The sculptural shape is soft and gentle, and works as a standalone decorative object as well as a vessel for a bouquet of flowers. It is a testament to the fact that modern technology and craftsmanship goes very well hand-in-hand, rather than acting as a divider between the old-fashioned and the futuristic.

Two
Note design is one of the latest studios to hack Ikea products for Danish brand Reform. Reform specialises in customising the ‘Metod’ and ‘Sektion’ kitchen furnishings from Ikea in a bid to make designer-interior items more affordable. As with all items from Reform, they have taken design cues from a minimalistic Scandinavian design heritage when creating their ‘Two’-range of IKEA-based designer sideboards.
