GIG: ESTHER VALLEE & MAYDAR
Klubb Popaganda comes to Södra Teatern this weekend with a double bill. Heading up the bill is Gothenburg artist Esther Vallee, who showed that she really knows how to put together a sparkling pop chorus on her single Numbers (which even comes with a murder-heavy video). She’s joined by Mayday, who specialises in lowlight, soulful digital R’n’B. Doors open at 20:00 with entry free for the first two hours.
May 4, 22:00-03:00, Södra Teatern
FILM: PERFECT BLUE
Perfect Blue is now an iconic film. The 1997 anime thriller follows the story of Mima Kirigoe, an aspiring actress whose life leaks online in ways she can’t control, a film that balances paranoic horror with a prophetic vision of the way the internet and celebrity culture would interact in future. Klarabiografen are showing it on Saturday in Japanese with English subs.
