GIG: ZACKE

Hip-hip is probably not the first thing you think of when you think Luleå, but the city’s son Zakarias ”Zacke” Lekberg has put it on the cultural map for the genre over the last few years. He released his album Fattigkussen last year, a record that bagged him two Grammis nominations for “Årets hiphop/soul” and “Årets textförfattare”, and has been touring it all over Sweden since. But that tour reaches its end this weekend with a show at Debaser, the last chance to catch Fattigkussen live in its current format, before Zacke heads back into the studio and starts work on new projects. It’s one not to miss.

SOUNDTRACK: SNACKBREAK X TRAINSPOTTERS

Film producers Snackbreak and hip hop crew Trainspotters are teaming up for a live soundtracking. Snackbreak have produced Disconnect, a short film about snowboarding filmed in Canada and Northern Europe, and Trainspotters have composed a soundtrack to the film, which they’ll be performing live as it’s screened at Slakthuset on Saturday. After there’s performances by Trainspotters and rising popstar Yaeger, and a DJ set by Estherlivia.

CLUB: NATTEN

The nights are getting colder but at least Natten, one of Stockholm’s favourite clubs, is around to warm it up. Palmer & Sally and Hanna Stenman & Linn Eklund are DJing the club’s usual mix of ballads, melancholy and love songs.

CHILL: YOGA + AFTER ADVENTURE

Scandic’s new Downtown Camper hotel lounge at Brunkebergstorg will be hosting Yoga every Sunday for the foreseeable future, and this Sunday is no exception. Christian Wigardt leads the classes in a yoga session that’s more relaxed and freewheeling than arch-traditional. After the class you can grab a drink in the bar at happy-hour prices, if you want to undo all the good health work you did with the yoga.
