SHOPPING: WESC

Fans of fashion brand WESC can grab some gear at reduced prices this week, and they’re having a sample sale at their Humlegårdsgatan location from Thursday until Saturday.

ART: EQUATIONS. A NONLINEAR IMPULS

In November the artist Farvash Razavi is at Färgfabriken with her project Equations. For the work, Razavi examines human behaviour at the point where impulse overpowers rational thought. She then tries to translate these behaviours into equations, and these equations will be fed into machines to transform them into sculptures. Visitors to Färgfabriken can watch the project as it takes shape.

GIG: AVANTGARDET

Only two albums into their career, Avantgardet have nonetheless already carved themselves a place in the Swedish music public’s hearts with their emotional, lush pop music. Their touring takes them to Nalen this weekend.

CLUBBING: COUNTRY MUSIC

Country Music is the project of Daniel Iinatti and Anna Sagström, and is a label inspired by the periphery, the post-industrial landscapes and the expression of hardship (check out more of their philosophy in this interview with AQNB. They’re hosting a label night at Under Bron on Saturday. Their releases are pitched as a kind of ‘outsider’ take on electronic music, and they’re hosting a label night at Under Bron on Friday.

GIG: BØRNS

American musician BØRNS lives in a world of soft colours and neon, and specialises in a kind of upbeat, modern-take on glam-rock. His 2015 debut album Dopamine proved so popular that he’s still touring it two years later, and he comes to Debaser on Sunday.
