Planet Earth

The BBC series Planet Earth became a wildly popular global television smash, with its astonishing camerawork mixed with David Attenborough’s great-grandfather-of-nature charisma making it the ultimate in documentaries on flora and fauna. Its second act, Planet Earth II, arrived last year, after three years of filming across 40 countries. And now there’s a twist in the presentation. Planet Earth II – Live In Concert is on tour in Sweden this spring, and the formula is simple: stunning footage, presented in all its glory on the big screen, and given the accompaniment it deserves by a live symphony orchestra. Oscar winner Hans Zimmer, along with Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe, composed the music, and it’s performed by the Prague Symphony Orchestra. The natural world is finally getting the right soundtrack.
