The independent art fair Supermarket is back at Telefonplan for 2017. Supermarket is an artist-run art fair that brings artists from all over the world to Stockholm to display their work. This year’s edition features over 200 artists from around 45 countries, including Egypt, Iran and Argentina. The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Intimacy’, with the key question being “How do we sustain intimacy in a world that essentially works against it?”. In addition to the exhibitions, Supermarket will also feature a series of talks and presentations, as well as live performance art. There’s also the Supermarket Art Magazine, which serves as an introduction to the participating galleries as well as articles on the art scene in the Caribbean and Berlin. It starts today, March 23, and a pass for the festival costs 200kr (including a copy of the magazine).
