Art’s Birthday Party
Who says all the good festivals have to take place in summer? Swedish Radio’s P2 is driving the January dreariness away with their legendary Art’s Birthday Party. Now in its 11th year, the electronic/experimental festival keeps outdoing itself with an ever-growing list of international artists who will entertain festivalgoers on three different stages for one splendid night. This year’s biggest name is no doubt Finnish electro virtuoso Vladislav Delay, who over the past years has collaborated with notable mainstream acts such as Scissor Sisters and Massive Attack.
Sandra Mickelsson, DJ and program director for Elektroniskt i P2, is at the helm of the festival this year. “It will be incredibly fun to organize a party that represents the music I’m so passionate about. It’s been a while since I put on a live party before a large audience and although it’s nerve-wracking it really is one of the best feelings you can have.”
