Och Himlen Därtill is not simply a restaurant. Tethering atop Skrapan in Södermalm, we all know it offers concept food and beverage. More recently it has become a good destination to discover contemporary art.

For the first time in Sweden, Himlen will feature photography and video installations by Spanish artist Francesca Marti. A diverse artist Marti known for her paintings and sculptures she lives in Mallorca. She creates powerful work which combines art forms that include music and dance.

The human form is a recurring feature in her work. Marti says she draws inspiration from a sense of freedom as well as the way in which she can alter reality.

In 2002, Marti began introducing video installations into her work. She also applies paint over her photographs. Embracing these different art forms using new media and questioning traditional ways of doing things has garnered her a reputation as a ground breaking artist.
