Casual frenchie Stockholm – more specifically, the area around Jarlaplan – has finally been graced with an authentic French brasserie. “We felt there was a lack of Stockholm venues that serve genuine French cuisine in a unpretentious and casual setting. At Balzac, it is easy to drop by for an oyster or an omelette à la minute,” says restaurateur Bogdan Monciu. The menu has been created in collaboration with gastronomic consultant Herman Rasmuson and Rikard Hult, former owner of L’Epicurien in Albi in the south of France.
