Relocating a food hall
Since the 1880s, the food stalls at the gorgeous Östermalm food hall have been packed with the finest delicacies and food items available. This year saw the initiation of a restoration of the food hall, moving all stalls and restaurants into a temporary covered market situated on the adjoining square.
The temporary building, an intriguing wooden structure that is partially covered with polygal sheets, is designed by Tengbom, the architectural firm that will also be in charge of the renovation of the old food hall.
