When you think of Spring, do you immediately think of asparagus? If not, then you should, as spring marks the point when asparagus is a vital part of the Swedish culinary calendar. And the Dalagatan restaurant Tennstopet is celebrating that fact with a special menu. During the “Sparrisveckorna”, you can sample a full three course asparagus menu, which includes white aparagus with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce, and even stretches to a consommé with asparagus ice cream.
“To a large extent Tennstopet is associated with the traditional “husmanskost”, which is something we are very proud of. At the same time, we see the charm in surprising our guests with things they may not have tried before. Asparagus ice cream is an example of such a dish” says Micke Schedin, kitchen chief at Tennstopet.
The menu is available between May 28 – Jun 6.
