Going Commando
Move aside, over-hyped gastronomic trends and complicated dining concepts – new, restaurant Kommendören aims to peel off the layers to focus on the bare-naked qualities that every real meal should evolve around – produce, flavour and love.
Run by Christian Olsson and Kristofer Sandström, the brains behind Vassa Eggen, Boqueria, Tennstopet and Albert & Jacks, the duo are heavily inspired by the New York bistro, and American bar layouts in particular.
Olsson explains: “We really appreciate how the American bars are constructed. With a shorter distance between the guest and the bartender, we hope to create a more personal and relaxed setting.”
Aside from the obvious bar focus, Kommendören will offer a variety of new and classic dishes, ranging from eggs Blackstone to pasta vongole and steak Diane.
