Gig Highlight: Marching Church/ Ease

You might have heard of Danish post-punks Iceage, but were you aware that their frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt has another project? Marching Church are a much looser and more decadent prospect than Iceage, music that flickers between flamboyant and violent and built around Rønnenfelt’s nihilist soul persona. channelling acts from Nick Cave to Tom Waits to The Idiot-era Iggy Pop. They released their second album Telling It Like It Is last year, and now they’re coming to Fasching. Synth duo Ease, who we interviewed back in February, support.
