LILLA NAMO (23:30)

“Swedish music’s biggest rising star of the last few years is a clear winner, sweeping the board in the Newcomer of the Year category,” said during the presentation of Lilla Namo’s P3’s Listeners’ award in January.

Lilla Namo is accounted as one of the biggest breakthroughs in Swedish music in 2012. The cocky and genre flipping debut song, Haffa Guzz, became a huge hit and was played frequently on radio leading to a series of unforgettable club gigs. Her brilliant and uncompromising rhyming style was dubbed “Swedish rap” by Music Wizard in P3 and she soon became a recognisable name in the media.

At the end of 2012 came the single Höj volymen, prompting Kingsize magazine to name her “one of the most exciting women in music.” Her 2012 Musikhjälpen appearance drew the attention of hundreds of thousands of P3 listeners and SVT viewers.

In Spring 2013 Lilla Namo was one of the artists featured on Petter’s hit, King and showed on Mack Beats’ song Passé that she also has an impressive singing voice. During the summer of 2013 Lilla Namo released her new song Tuggare utan gränser, preceding the acclaimed album of the same name.

SILVANA IMAM (22:30)

Rapper Silvana Imam, formerly Silvana Solo, has written music all her life, constantly making connections between unexpected genres. With one foot firmly in hip-hop she conveys her myriad influences through expertly crafted lyrics and poetry.

Last year she released her debut album Rekviem, which was met with a fine critical reception, receiving 4/6 in GAFFA, 4/5 from HD, 4/5 in Kingsize, 4/5 from the NWT, and 4/5 from Sydsvenskan.

She followed up with the song Jag Är En Fakkin Gee with Adam Tensta and Julia Spada, which is set to be the first song from an upcoming EP to be released later this spring. The song was produced by Nils Svennem Lundberg & Shiny Thing.

JESPER HEATHER BRANCH (Up To No Good)

This beloved artist has many names and whether you choose to call him Jeansie, Jean Bjorn, or Jesper, we are beside ourselves that he will be at Debaser this week!  Up To No Good (composed by Jesper and Alex Thunder) has produced Lilla Namo’s biggest hits, Höj Volymen and Haffa Guzz as well as her brand new single. They also work with artists such as Little Jinder, Ji Nilsson, SamBoii, Cherrie, etc. and have lined up a lot of exciting releases planned for spring.
