Born in the underground music scene in Malmö, Swedish experimental folk/indie group Solander is known for its emotional expression in music. This February 2014, five years after they first started touring together, they are releasing their third studio album, Monochromatic Memories.
The album was recorded in Stockholm with Ane Brun’s producer Christian Gabel, with melodies that are primarily surrounded by synthesizer and cello sounds. These aspects create a dreamy and soft sound image that is quite unlike anything out there. The album is known to counteract. The experimental parts are not as apparent now as they were a couple of years ago, but Solander still keeps their style highly interesting.
