VIKTOR & THE BLOOD

debaser_viktor and the blood

“The raw energy of a punk trio combined with classic songwriting and a solid, modern rock sound.”

That’s Viktor & The Blood’s described in one sentence.

Viktor & The Blood consists of Viktor Norén, Jonas Karlsson and Samuel Giers. Together the trio possesses an unbelievable 30+ years of live experience, with tours all over the world with bands such as the Sugarplum Fairy and Mando Diao.

Viktor & The Blood rocks hard whilst also maintaining an accessible pop sound.  The constant balancing act creates an intense climate, which keeps the music flowing and maximizes the energy from the band.

Their self-titled EP and subsequent full-length album was recorded with producer Jacob Hellner who’s previously been involved in recording music with musicians from the much tougher and rougher end of the spectrum such as Rammstein, Apocalyptica, and Clawfinger. Nonetheless he also has a proven ear for pop music which makes him ideally suited to work with Viktor & The Blood.
January this year saw the long-awaited release of their debut album,  Apocalypse Right Now.

VÄSTERBRON

Stockholmese, lo-fi punk in Skåne. That was the plan. However, it resulted instead as more of a bridge between contemporary rattling Swedish minor punk and American emo circa 1997.

The first brick was laid in the summer of 2013 and the band was officially inaugurated February 10, 2014 in the form of their first single, Om du säger det så är det så. The debut album was recorded in Studio Exercise in Malmö with Tommy Tift (Vånna None) and released in the fall on their Battle Recordings label via Playground Music Group.
