A little play you might have heard of, Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, is returning to Stadsteatern. Director Linus Tunström has brought together a new interpretation of Shakespeare’s tale of young love meets interfamilial conflict, bringing fresh elements to a play that’s probably been performed a million times over its near 500-year history. Gizem Erdogan and Daniel Nyström take the title roles as, y’know’, Juliet and Romeo, so why not celebrate the 400th anniversary of Willy’s death by checking out one of his classics this winter.
